“Proxy Media and Full Resolution Media must have matching audio channels.”
If you create a proxy from within Premiere Pro then it should have the same audio channels as the source clip.
Sometimes Premiere Pro will give you a warning that the audio channels are not the same and it won’t even allow you to
create the proxy.
In another instance, you may have created proxies externally before linking, and you will get the warning “Proxy Media and Full Resolution Media must have matching audio channels.”
In this case create a proxy with Adobe Media Encoder, make sure that your channels in your audio settings match the source channels of the raw footage. It should link up fine after this is done.
