The Swiss Daniel Hellbach (*1958) is known especially, but not only, in his home country for a wide range of teaching literature from the fields of pop, rock, jazz and classical music. I too have Hellbach's piece in frequent use in my teaching practice. Hellbach offers an appreciative range of simple literature that can inspire young students to play the piano. The present touching Nocturne in B minor it's the first from a collection of 7 Nocturnes published as recently as 2020. In it, the categories pop and classical blur.
