Fire Modeling and Mapping to Improve Decision Making
This SERDP and ESTCP webinar focused on DoD-funded research efforts on the use of prescribed fires to support ecological objectives in an effective, efficient, and safe manner on DoD lands. Specifically, investigators discussed a suite of advancements that can help the planning and design of prescribed fires, and the use of an innovative fuel mapping tool (FuelsCraft) to aid with fuel characterization, fire behavior predictions, and post-fire monitoring.
