In Texas, attorneys can also act as a bail bondsmen. I recommend not having your attorney handle your bond. It creates a massive conflict of interest that could lead to your attorney having the court issue a warrant for your arrest to protect themselves. Hire an attorney to fight the charges against you and hire a bail bondsman to handle your bond.
