Lenin - The Lost Century
The latest set of tapes from Jim Schofield presents something of a challenge to contemporary Marxists. To mark the centenary of Lenin's death, the latest issue of SHAPE Journal looks again at the revolutionary's work, his largely forgotten contributions to Marxist theory, and a period of political and philosophical stagnation, that is now 100 years long. How can we reinvigorate Marxism through rehabilitating Lenin's legacy and continuing his work? Schofield tries to answer this question, while also demonstrating how many key figures on the Left today - from David Harvey and Richard Wolff to George Galloway - conveniently ignore it, and the growing need to understand and instigate revolutionary change.
