The infrastructure development of the new capital city of Indonesia, the Balang Island Bridge, the second-longest in Indonesia, has been fully completed.
Construction of the Balang Island Bridge, the connecting bridge to the new capital city, has been completed. This bridge connects Balikpapan City with North Penajam Paser Regency in East Kalimantan.
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, explained that the bridge will improve connectivity along the Trans-Kalimantan road, the main route for logistics transportation on the island of Kalimantan.
