Hi everyone and welcome to step by step tutorial course.

This is Omar Althuwaynee, GIS and Geomatics professional with research focus on natural hazards analysis and mapping using machine learning.

In this course , we will use real data consist of

1.Landslide locations (with date of occurrence)

2.Rainfall rain gauges network (hourly record)

Then with step by step tutorial, we will learn how to use two tool packs called DEWS and CTRL-T

1. DEWS (implemented in QGIS):

Will be used to automatically select the best represented rainfall gauge to landslide using spatial, hydrological relationship. This tools I developed in QGIS software and its free to use and distribute

2. CTRL-T: Will be used to automatically

the reconstruction of distinct rainfall events calculates the duration (D, in hours) and the cumulated rainfall (E, in mm) of the rainfall events);

the identification of multiple rainfall conditions responsible for the triggering of documented landslides;

the definition of rainfall thresholds for possible landslide occurrence.

Once you get your data prepared, as we will to it together step by step, the rest of tutorial will much easier as direct application to extract the thresholds curves and related statistical measurement curves.
