LYRICS:
You remember that feeling from last New Year’s Eve?
Filled with intentions that we’ll never keep
But don’t lose hope if you lost your way
This moment means more than words can say
You know why even a caged bird sings
You and I Will take on everything
Stories without spines are just drifting pages
Hold it together and we will make it
I remember that thoughts and prayers aftermath
wishing instead that someone chose to act
Trapped like fodder waiting for the flash
Rebirth leaving us only with ash
You know why even a caged bird sings
You and I Will take on everything
Stories without spines are just drifting pages
Hold it together and we will make it
Is this a lifeline? Has it been lifetimes?
Are we just looking for the next wave?
Let’s change the faultline so there’s a next time
Put resentment in the grave
