My car broke down but I fixed it! Female mechanic 101 :)
It ended up being a common problem with the 2000 Ford Focus 🚗 due to it being a plastic tube and the coolant and heat gets pretty hot, so it has a tendency to crack, unfortunately. Then again, c'mon Ford really? This was a stupid invention or whatever. It's called a heater hose outlet tube. The good news is it's very easy to change.
The tube is located right about the radiator. All you do is make sure the car is completely cooled down. Remove the two flat head screws that hold the tube to the body.
Get a pair of pliers and squeeze the clamps. Then just slide them back. Put hoses back on the new one, slide clamps back to the end. Fill overflow with 50/50 mix coolant with cap off and heat/defroster on high until the car warms up to get any air out of the line or you can burp it by revving the throttle a few times or park with the front end higher on an incline so the radiator is higher than the engine. It forces air out better. I did that at the end of my driveway with the front end higher.

I also had a 1995 Ford Ranger that had a similar issue and I broke down on the highway. Also a heater hose plastic outlet. It cracked and coolant sprayed everywhere.
So, this is a typical Ford issue :/
Also, the thermostat housing cracks too because it's plastic.
