Reason Why Max Verstappen Wasn’t Penalised For Running Lewis Hamilton Wide In The 2021 Brazilian GP
Max Verstappen runs Lewis Hamilton wide in Brazil 2021, but there have been other instances where it has happened.
Max Verstappen was battling Lewis Hamilton for the lead in the 2021 Brazilian GP. It had been a tight championship until that year with Max Verstappen only leading by 16 points with 3 races to go including the Brazilian GP. Practically Max only needed one more win and 2 second places to secure his championship easily, however if Lewis wins Brazil and Saudi Arabia (next race) then the championship will go down to the last race with both drivers on equal points.
This was the reason when on lap 48 when Max Verstappen ran Lewis Hamilton wide in the exit of turn 4, many people claimed it was done with the intention to cause a collision. Because a collision where both drivers don't finish would mean that Max would win the championship in the next round.
