The main activity can be seen around the top left corner of the door frame. This door is the hidden door that separated the 2 basement rooms.
There was nobody in the basement, no doors open or windows in the room. This is the hidden basement where the fleeing slaves would have been kept after they had made their way up the tunnel from the Niagara river. This house played a major role in the underground railroad.
