Di Bulan November ini, Indonesia akan memperingati suatu hari yang telah di kenang sepanjang masa.
Hari di mana ribuan nyawa para pejuang yang kebanyakan terdiri dari arek – Arek Suroboyo gugur dan tewas di medan peperangan.
Hari tersebut adalah Hari Pahlawan.
Hari Pahlawan yang di peringati pada tanggal 10 November di setiap tahunnya ini merupakan refleksi dari dahsyatnya pertempuran yang terjadi di Kota Surabaya.
Pada hari tersebut, tentara Sekutu yang datang ke Kota Surabaya mendapatkan perlawanan dari Arek – Arek Suroboyo yang tidak ingin di jajah kembali oleh Belanda.
Sengitnya pertempuran antara tentara Sekutu yang di bekali dengan senjata canggih mendapatkan perlawanan yang sangat militan dari Arek – Arek Suroboyo yang hanya bersenjatakan bambu runcing.
Heroiknya pertempuran yang terjadi di Kota Surabaya inilah yang setiap tahunnya selalu di peringati oleh Pemerintah Kota Surabaya dengan menyelenggarakan Parade Surabaya Juang 2016.
