An interpretation of the classic jazz standard "Manhã de Carnaval", meaning "morning of the carnival" in Portuguese. It was composed by Luiz Bonfá and immediately helped popularize the new genre of "bossa nova" in the states. Paul Desmond and his band subsequently put their spin on it, making the recording used on the soundtrack of the film "Black Orpheus".
