Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. Mario's Madness is a mod directed by Marco Antonio The mod is centered around Mario.EXE; a creepier version of Mario from a well-known piece of artwork from DeviantArt. It also features a few other appearances from other official and unofficial horror-based Mario characters.
Vs. Sonic.EXE was a mod owned and directed by Saster and CommandoDev. The main opponent of the mod is the titular character from the Sonic.EXE series, but it also features many other horror-oriented characters from other official and fan-made Sonic media, including Sonic (PC PORT), Sonic CD, Sunky, Sonic R, Sonic Shorts, and Sonic the Comic.
Sonic.exe: The Spirits of Hell is a 2D platformer created by Dan the Patient Bear. As of November 13, 2023, The Game Jolt page has 1.1m views and 1,082 likes. The game is available in English and Russian, which is the developer's native language. The game was released on June 12, 2018. A couple of months later, the sequel, Sally.exe: The Whisper of Soul was released as a demo and fully released in August 15, 2021.
The Nightmare Series is a series of fan games by Jaiz Koys, Mastered Ultra Instinct Kostas and Danuha2526 based on the original Sonic.exe indie game, though it is very different from the original game in many ways, such as having genuine plots and lore. There are currently only six games that have been made, but two more are planned.
