Abstract 3d Character Design Experiment in Cinema 4d // The Practice 137
I had so much fun with last weeks simple, abstract character design that I decided to try another one. While this was fairly easy to model, the placement and arrangement of elements becomes challenging. The simpler a piece is, often the harder it is to decide what to keep and what to remove. After modeling, we do a simple lighting setup, then retouch and color correct in adobe photoshop.
This timelapse is about 1.5 hours of work sped up to about 15 minutes. Lower the speed to .25 in the video settings to watch at closer to normal speed.
