Tewkesbury - (More) River Overflows
Further Winter Rain in Tewkesbury and floods!!! (February 2020)
Causing localised flooding (again!!!).
Shows the area close to the centre of the town of Tewkesbury, along the Mill Avon River where repeated deluges has once again caused flooding of the riverside, and Severn Ham.

This is the fourth time this has been known to happen in the last three months, which shows the amount of rain over the Autumn, Winter period, which (talking to locals), is definitely considered to be far more than usual, or at anytime before, which could be attributable to climate change!!
Flooding has happened around this area and various parts of the town since the Autumn!!
The Severn Ham forms part of the Severn Way, (with a walk around the perimeter) and its usually popular dog walking country, and links with the Severn across the flatlands.
Anglers also set up on the landing slots in season, but at the moment as he shown, all areas are saturated in water.
Mercifully, unlike in November, and December 2019, local paths and roads next to the Avon, and nearby, were not affected, but this is sometimes the case with side roads being impassable!
The flood defence scheme after the huge 2007 floods, now has ensured the town centre area of commerce and main streets are not affected.
Dredging and silt removal also takes place around every 2 years, to minimise the effects of heavy rain and high rivers!!!!!!!
