This is a easy step by step video showing how to install a "front" Adams Driveshaft (1310 CV) with solid U-Joints for a Jeep Wrangler JK. This is part of their Extreme Duty Series. The SCOPE of this video does not include how to remove your Factory (stock) driveshaft. In another video on our Channel (John's Jeep Garage) we have a video showing you how to remove the factory front driveshaft on your Jeep Wrangler JK.
Note: When using the torque wrench for the front transfer case flange nut, we locked the transfer case into 4WD Low to create the resistance when tightening to 160 ft lbs. After, to enable the transfer case yoke to rotate while installing the bolts for the T-Case Yoke side, we put it back into 2WD.
Torque settings - Front Transfer Case Flange Nut - 160 ft lbs, Transfer Case Yoke bolts (5/16") are torqued to 18 ft lbs, the front pinion yoke (15mm bolts) are torqued to 80 ft lbs and the transfer case skid plate (18mm bolts) are torqued to 55 ft lbs.
When ordering a custom made Adams Driveshaft for your Jeep Wrangler JK, they show you a diagram on how to measure the length of the front driveshaft on their website. Though they have standard measurements for the JK, they still request you submit measurements.
