we could make the smoke before the fire
we found the flame before the spark
you think you’ve seen it all and then chaos comes to call
now you don’t know who you are
well i rode away through the paddock
far from the family farm
i had a pain in my gut that would not give up
but you were on my arm
anywhere i run to everything i undo
every wall will fall down throw me out of this town
oh so fine my what a life
everything all the time
we dump our troubles upon the troubled
and we don’t get to choose our ends
helpless in the air upside down and scared
we’re not here to make new friends
and i have sung it upon the water
but the waves just slung it right back
i left brighton with the boys and in berlin fought for toys
then the north sea made the man
anywhere i run to everything i undo
every wall will fall down throw me out of this town
