Gran Turismo 4 always had functional drag racing
It is possible to change the courses that events use by modifying the spec database. By changing the course ID that the event looks for, it will load the specified course. In this case I changed the ID to the one assigned to the las vegas drag strip. It turns out that GT4 always had functional drag racing with an a.i. opponent, how neat!
