IS SMILE SECRET ABOUT TO END? Smile Secret - THE at-home teeth whitening solution, loved by all our favorite influencers, could soon disappear from our timelines on TikTok and Instagram? Because: Smile Secret is apparently insolvent. That's why we ordered the phone whitening kit one last time and took a closer look. In this video, we explain what the whitening serum can do now, whether the blue LED light finally has a purpose, and what the bankruptcy is all about.
Three years ago, Smile Secret was a household name in the stories of our favorite influencers. Stars like Bibi, Pietro Lombardi, Loredana, Haftbefehl, Laura Müller, Katja Krasavice, and Dieter Bohlen advertised teeth whitening with a cell phone. Reason enough for us to take a closer look at the company. We discovered that the blue LED light doesn't contribute to the whitening effect.
Smile Secret has since responded – they're now Smile Secret Medical, and they have a NEW Handy Bleaching Set. And "new" in this case means they've replaced the active ingredient and now use "PAP+" for bleaching (or, for the nerds among us, the active ingredient is phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid).
And even though their new set still includes a blue LED strip, might they soon run out of blue light? Because things aren't looking good financially for Smile Secret. Insolvency proceedings have been initiated against SmileSecret GmbH & Ko. KG. Christian Solmecke explains what this means in this video.
He also advised us not to pay in advance to insolvent companies, but only upon receipt of the goods to avoid any financial risk. However, if you haven't received your goods, you can file a claim with the insolvency administrator and hope to receive at least a small portion of your purchase price back.
