Scornful Simon || On being more compassionate
We call this Simon Scornful because of the way he behaved to the woman who poured fragrant oil on Jesus and cleaned his feet with her hair out of appreciation for hat Jesus did for her.
This happened in the home of Simon, a rich Pharisee whom Jesus was having dinner in his home. He looked down on her because of her past life but Jesus corrected him by telling him a story of how someone who was forgiven a lot would show appreciation more than the person who was forgiven a little.
Simon must have learnt his lesson not to look down on anyone and know that everyone has access to God and can give to God whatever is theirs to give.
Remember not to look down on anyone because Jesus Christ never looked down on anyone. He loved and helped many people. We are Christ Ambassadors so we will behave like Jesus because as He is, so are we.
