Located in Fort Macleod, Alberta, the Fort Museum is a recreation of the second Northwest Mounted Police (NWMP) barracks originally built in 1884, 10 years after the original established location in the area. The NWMP was the predecessor of what became the RCMP. The museum was opened to the public in 1957, and now includes the NWMP musical ride in the summer months.
