APEX Testdrive presents the Testdrive video of the new Citroën ë C4!
Iconic design. Iconic technology. Words that describe the brand Citroën perfectly. And also words that perfectly reflect the test car in this testdrive, the electric version of the Citroën C4, the ë C4.
With a design that has alternately sharp angles and round shapes the electrified C4 stands out from the pack.
The brand has always been about comfort at the highest level. And this car has just that, from the comfy seats with optional massage function to its groundbreaking suspension and ultra-quiet interior (also thanks to its electric motor); the ë C4 is a driving relaxation platform. In this car you go for a drive not just for getting from A to B but probably even more so to relax and unwind.
Naturally, it also has all the benefits of an electric car with a pretty good range of about 350 kilometers, depending on your driving style of course, a low center of gravity which is helpful when cornering and a quiet and smooth ride while on the go. Acceleration from a standstill pushes you back into the seat quite a bit thanks to the ever-present high amount of torque (260 Nm).
Of course we do have some minor remarks. For instance, when accelerating quickly, you can feel a little surge of vibration going through the car. And just coming out of the Peugeot e-2008 that we tested before this one and that has a similar electric motor, you can feel that that car is a little bit more refined in that area.
Also, the way you can select a gear in the ë C4 is a bit fiddly thanks to the selector lever that is slightly hidden away and which takes a bit of time to respond to your actions.
Nonetheless, this car makes you want to drive for many, many miles (or kilometers) just because of the fact that it is such an enjoyable and relaxing way of moving around.
