Today is lesson # 3: Where and How to Record Podcast Interviews!
While you may see some top-tier podcasts recorded in high-end studios in New York or Los Angeles, the vast majority of podcasts are recorded virtually! As a guest, you will record your interviews from your home or your office on your computer.
I get interviewed at least 3 times per month and I’ve recorded interviews on Zoom, Streamyard, and Riverside; all software and websites I can easily access.
You should have a professional-looking background and make sure your webcam is at eye level. If you don’t have a background that is great for video, you can always use a virtual background with your logo!
It’s also important to have good lighting because most podcasts record with video on so they can leverage video clips to promote the show on social media.
As a bonus for signing up with Interview Connections in May during Small Business Month, I will send you a ring light! I’ll also gift you a microphone, and microphone stand, and do an interview audit for you! If you pay in full, we’ll give you an extra $1k off plus we’ll write your one sheet!
