This movie breaks through existing genre conventions (...). I would describe it as a "documental feature" close in it's form to a peculiar poetic ballad. (Krzysztof Ptak, cinematographer)
It is a beautiful, both realistic, and poetic, oddly visually intensive tale about a Mazurian village (Maria Kornatowska, film critic).
I'm not fond of heros. Artists from Czukty are similar to me -- imperfect, full of complexes, but also bold and generous (...). I just want to live inside this movie for an hour (Jan Jakub Kolski, film director).
