xQc, Alinity on Streamers GHOSTING VALKYRAE
Valkyrae has suggested that some of her streamer friends have not reached out to her in the middle of all her RFLCT backlash, and xQc and Alinity not only seem to confirm this, they explain why they are probably right to ghost her.
Valkyrae has been struggling amidst all the backlash to the launch of RFLCT, revealing in leaked DM’s with Ludwig that she is trying everything she can to get out of her deal, and that she feels like it has ruined her brand. But she has also hinted that she’s surprised not all of her streamer friends are reaching out in her time of need, but xQc and Alinity may know why.
xQc said on his Twitch stream that when you sign your name to a contract like that, it becomes your job, and if you screw up something that should be your job, you shouldn’t expect people to come out of the woodwork to support you. He says it’s Valkyrae’s responsibility to make sure RFLCT was a real, useful product and not some scam with fake claims, and if she screwed that up, that was on her, not her streaming friends.
Alinity brought up the other elephant in the room, which is that no Twitch or YouTube streamer wants to risk getting called out or having all that social media backlash turned on them for supporting Valkyrae. Given how brutal Twitter and social media in general can be to streamers and influencers, Alinity is right in saying that streamers would have to risk a ton of financial and psychological harm to support Valkyrae in the midst of this growing backlash. .
