Travelling to ANTARCTICA via the DRAKE PASSAGE! How you actually get to Antarctica!
This is my first day in Antarctica and how I got to to Antarctica! I travelled from the UK to the very bottom of Argentina to Ushuaia aka the end of the world. I boarded the Ocean Endeavour which I booked through Chimu Adventures and was ran by Intrepid Travel for a 10 day adventure!
From Ushuaia, to get to the Antarctic Peninsula you have to cross the Drake Passage which is called the Drake Lake or the Drake Shake.. thankfully, we got more of a Drake Lake with only a small amount of movement as we sailed through it for 2 days.
We approached the Antarctic Peninsular on our second full day of sailing seeing icebergs at 9:00pm and then had our first day in Antarctica doing 2 Antarctic excursions to Danko Island and Paradise Harbour.
