Merchant of Happiness - William Sim
On days when you think the world is against you, look to William's art for a reason to be happy. The vibrant colours and animated expressions of characters in his art coupled with his infectious optimism are bound to bring a smile to your face.
Since participating in group shows in 2006, he has progress to holding solo exhibitions and is expecting a third exhibition later this year.
"Do not take things for granted" says William and clearly, he does not. His favourite muse -- American Shorthair cats -- brings him such joy each time they crawl by seeking his attention.
Equating happiness to salt, William explains how he thinks happiness, like salt, is a subtle ingredient which could perfect chocolates' sweet flavor. Despite its importance, the subtle nature of happiness has led many of us to neglect it. At the same time, because of its importance, William see it as his personal mission to bring happiness to more people and so his name -- the Merchant of Happiness.
