When looking out for clinical signs of African Swine Fever (ASF), it can really depend on the virulence level of the strain present.
If a highly virulent strain of ASF enters the farm, you may notice that animals have a fever and may be huddling together as if they are cold. This is where a necropsy can be helpful, but be careful - when considering ASF you need to handle blood carefully to prevent further infection, as it is essentially a vehicle for the transmission of the disease.
