Lecture 7.3 : Updating techniques
This video discusses about cache data updating techniques which are used to write or update the changes in main memory, which were performed by CPU in data when it was present in cache.
This is necessary to eliminate the coherence problem in our system and maintain data consistency.
Two types of updating techniques are used in our basic systems
1). Write through
2). Write back
both of this are thoroughly discussed with their average write time for our system.
