I know what you're thinking. That I look irresistible. Yes, I've been told so… because more than one person stares at me when I go out for a walk. It seems they haven't learned anything about the basic rules of decency and the strong repercussions that bullying has in the eyes of society. They don't care; they keep doing it, because it seems they've never seen a breakfast as good and attractive as me.
Add the flour mixture, beat the egg whites. To soft peaks, don't work them into nougat. Fold them gently and calmly, like a Sunday breakfast. Because if we overmix, we won't get the soft, fluffy texture that gives this breakfast its exquisite quality.
But I don't care, I'll manage anyway. I'm working on my tan and I like to go out with strawberries, pistachios, and the glow that comes with that touch of honey. And I know that, no matter how irresistible, that shouldn't result in chasing glances. I go out however I want, however I feel beautiful and confident; and with the hope that one day, around this spacious breakfast table, we'll begin to practice the fundamental value of respect.
