Let's say an attacker comes at you out of nowhere and immediately tries to strike you with a dangerous weapon, in this case a knife. What should you do?
In the case of this particular scenario shown in the video, what makes things difficult is that the attacker has so much reach, him being much taller. Even by parrying with the knife, it's hard to get out of this type of situation.
If you ever find yourself in this type of situation, you need to use your legs and throw low line kicks to get your opponent to think low. From there, you should parry and counter strike him up high. If you manage to strike him hard, that could lead to an opportunity for you to come in and trap the knife.
Remember, the longer you stall, the more you get slashed and injured. You should try to avoid this. Instead, you should try to bridge the gap as quickly as possible and defend yourself at all cost.
