Why US Copyright Office Says You Can't Copyright AI Images | MidJourney Artist Loses Copyright Case
The US copyright office ruled that Kristina Kashtanova can not get a copyright on her MidJourney generated images for her comic book Zarya of the Dawn.
They granted her a copyright for the text and arrangement of images, but not the images themselves.
The US copyright office says images generated by AI are not eligible for copyright right.
