eBay: Photos
Unique Photos. eBay photos are critical to building extensive sales. eBay rewards Sellers that have unique photos. What does that mean. Photos that you are not seeing anywhere else. The more unique the photo, the more it will help your item get on the first page of eBay's Search Results. Photos that are cut and pasted from other websites are not unique. A photo that is taken from another listing will have a signature that eBay will detect and will inform eBay that it is not unique. Don’t worry, our training will help you with that problem by eliminating the digital signature. Our training will teach you how to get unique photos – even when you don’t have them.
Multiple Photos. eBay rewards Sellers that have several photos. We always suggest to have at least three photos of the item you are selling, in your listing.
Photo quality. The following is what Ebay has indicated are their photo quality requirements:
• Use at least one picture.
• Photos must be at least 500 pixels on each side. Make them 1,600 pixels on the longest side and shoppers can use the enlarge/zoom feature when they shop.
• Don’t use photos with borders, text, or added artwork.
• Use watermarks to indicate ownership or attribution only—not for marketing purposes.
• Stock photos are allowed as your primary photo only if you’re listing a brand-new, unused item.
Image File Type. For eBay product pictures you want to have only one image file type, whih is JPEG/JPG (both are the same file format, just named differently depending on the operating system you PC uses. JPEG files and nothing else.
