After getting word about 5 refrigerated boxcars arriving in Harlingen on Sunday, I made sure I had enough time from work to see this train. Its not common to see more than 1 refrigerated boxcar here in the Rio Grande Valley...something once last seen in the 1990's. #5579, #5180 & #5586 make their way past the former M. Rivas foodstore with #4107 at the rear to service the Donna Transload Facility.
In the process of upgrading to GP38-2's, I've noticed RVSC went from John Deere Green to Castleton Green (compare 5579/5180 to 4107 at the rear). Looks great anyway!
I attempted an "up close & personal" angle to record this train. As the train rolls by, you can see the rails go up and down just at the bottom of the screen.
