Trend indicators; as the name suggests, are somewhat destined to perform (well) in an existing trend and underperform in sideways market conditions. Kıvanç Özbilgiç's AlphaTrend which is a derivative of Trend Magic indicator on the other hand, focuses on this exact problem along with the several improvements on the default Trend Magic. Clearer signaling as well as minimized stops would be a good example to that. We also expect an english interpretation by the creator, Kıvanç Özbilgiç himself.
