November 1st is All Saints Day, and it's traditional for Polish families to head en masse to the cemetery - or cemeteries, if they have family members buried in different places around the city. This is all really something to behold - there are hundreds of thousands of candles and bouquets of flowers here, and this is just one cemetery. At times like this I rather wish I had a drone that could show the splendour of these places at the start of the month. Of course, it does make you wonder about the expense (not to mention, speaking completely objectively, the waste) of it all, but I look forward to November 1st these days, and I always make sure my camera batteries are charged in preparation for it.
