Artificial Intelligence may be all the rage lately but the performance of any algorithm will only be as good as the quality of your underlying data.
While many large enterprises have set up Data Lakes, these can quickly degrade into Data Swamps where data is cluttered, messy and of questionable lineage and quality.
One of the possible reasons for Data Lakes turning into Swamps is R.O.T which is what happens when the right controls are missing to prevent the build up of data that is Redundant, Obsolete or Trivial.
