Boundaries protect our energy and are an important part of caring for our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. With more of us staying home these days, the distinction between work time, family time, time with yourself, your kids or your partner can easily become blurred. As a result:
• You may feel like you don't have enough time for everything
• You may feel like you're always available
• You may feel some resentment in your personal or professional commitments or relationships
• You may feel too wrapped up in the emotional experience of others
•You may feel drained and depleted
Feeling this way indicates an opportunity to create or renegotiate a boundary. It’s an opportunity to protect your energy and ensure that there's an equal exchange of give and receive within the different areas of your life.
Whether you need to build better boundaries with your kids, partner, family, colleagues, friends, neighbors, work, yourself or social media, this video is for you.
Remember: Even though it's difficult to voice your boundaries and hold yourself accountable, this is a practice of self-care for your body, mind, and spirit. Boundaries help ensure that you can keep showing up for yourself and for those that you love.
