DESIGN DETAILS
This Matlab design is based on optimal capacitor placement for savings function, power loss and reliability could be the objective function and the locations, sizes, number of capacitors, and bus voltages would be the decision variables, which must satisfy operational constraints. The fitness function considered for minimization of total active power losses (PL) and cost function.

Using Matlab by applying backward-forward sweep load flow, the design tested on IEEE 33 and 69 bus system for 2 cases and 6 reliability indices as given below,
1. Basecase (without optimization algorithm)
2. Optimal Capacitor Placement by using GA

RELIABILITY INDICES (Reference paper 2&3)
1. System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI)
2. System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIDI)
3. Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI)
4. Average service availability index (ASAI)
5. Average Service Unavailability Index (ASUI)
6. Expected energy not supplied (EENS)
