Gen Harrigian addresses command on Coronavirus
Hi, I’m General Jeff Harrigian, the commander of USAFE-AFAFRICA and NATO AIRCOM.
I know coronavirus is on everyone’s mind right now. We're getting after it with our host nations and DOD support agencies to establish appropriate measures to protect you, your families, and ensure the mission continues.
The secretary of defense recently released a memo that outlines travel guidelines for DOD uniformed personnel, DOD employed civilians, and families. These measures were put in place to help stop the spread of coronavirus and we will do our part. We know this has real, unexpected impacts on your travel plans, family visits and day-to-day lives.
As we get the most current and accurate information from higher headquarters, we’ll be sure to get it to you as quickly as possible. We are working hard to get you the facts. If you see information you’re unsure of, verify it with official sources and check with your chain of command for the latest guidance.
We are the world’s most capable Air Force and alliance because of our people. We will take care of our people while we continue to accomplish the mission in any environment no matter how great the challenge. Our leadership, medical professionals, and public health teams are doing everything they can to keep us safe and informed.
