Please read this entire description for details about this guitar lick.
Here is the second post which is a one measure A major pentatonic lick.
Try playing guitar lick 1 which was in A pentatonic minor followed by
this guitar lick which is based on A pentatonic major.
Listen for the difference between the major an minor pentatonic sound.
Here are details about this guitar lick.
Meter 4/4
Tempo 92
Key A
Standard tuning
This sixteenth note guitar lick is based on the A pentatonic major
scale with some chromatic tension notes added.
Beat 1 starts with the b7 tone sliding into the 6th.
Beat 2 is a triplet sixteenth followed by two more sixteenths for a
total of 5.
Beat 3 is a chromatic run up to the E note on the 12th fret.
Beat 4 is a full step bend/release up from the 2nd scale degree to the
3rd scale degree which is the major third finally ending on the tonic
note A.
I find the trickiest part of this guitar lick is getting the whole step
bend on the 12th fret at the end of beat 2 to sound smooth.
I hope you enjoyed this guitar lick. More guitar licks to come :)
