As a commission work, this is actually my breakthrough wwwww
The music is given to a fursona, who is about Japanese festival.
Therefore I used a Japanese pentatonic scales for beginning, and as a theme of this piece. You can see lots of stacking pentatonic chords on strings.
After tha, I kinda give a hint of what coming next by piano, and then a cadenza with a bombastic effect, indicating the beginning of a festival.
Then we come to the middle section, where I use a mixed swing rhythm and some unnoticeable (?) quintuplets, indicating different people in the festival, with the mixed swing rhythm (similar to the drum rhythm in Japanese festival) being dominant.
You can hear some clear accents too.
At the latter half of middle section, I start to increase the tension by microtonal stuff (although only a little) and counterpoints.
Fading with the piano, we comes to the 3rd section, which is a short recapitulation of beginning and a mood shift i.e. a short, sweet "ending" - fake ending. I try to interpret it like festival was going to be ended.
However, it's of course not the truth.
With a sudden piano abruption, the festival comes into the final dance - as the 4th section.
The last section is just an ending (?)
The festival is ended, and the sunrise is coming.
But that's the another day, and we can wait for the next morning, next festival wwwwww
I actually am surprised by how condensed I have tried to interpret in term of music....
(I cannot waste the money from commissioner, after all! Also not pulling too much money 🙂)
....
And then the commissioner just commissioned another commission immediately after finishing this.
Here's the link of next commission: • Commission Work - In-between the Golden an...
The combination of both commissions: • Combined Commission - In-between the Golde...
Hope you enjoy!
