You know the amazing story about YouTube is that it originally started as a dating site back in 2005 the founders of YouTube thought it a good idea to have a site that people uploaded videos to find potential partners, in fact they purchased the YouTube domain on Valentine day exactly for this purpose.
When the site launched in 2005 with the slogan "Tune in, hook up", the founders Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and jawed Karim, even went so far as trying to get women to post their videos on the website by paying them $20 a pop on Craigslist, but that vision wears short lived as five days into the launch not a single video was uploaded to the site, and the rest is history.
