Upcycled Cypress Table Caddy
My wife loves her vintage Neil The Frog collection from Sears. She asked me to make a custom kitchen table caddy and to incorporate her Neil The Frog trivet tile.
I'm not certain of the wood species, but I believe it's Cypress. It has some red streaks through it that adds a bit of detail.
I used skills from my video on making dimensional lumber router bowls, to make the 'caddy portion' of this piece.
This project also allowed me to do chisel work for the first time to inlay the trivet. I'm sure I wasn't doing a lot right, but you have to start somewhere!
