Every now and then, someone emerges in Brazilian music willing to break the dogmas rooted in societal conservatism, even knowing the high price to pay. This time's "knight" is 26-year-old Thiago Pantaleão, who has just released the second part of his album Nova Era, in which he explores his bisexuality and tackles taboo topics.

Instead of spear in hand, the warrior unleashes his compositions, in which he defends ménage, says he prefers open relationships, and combats prudishness to the point of even showing his desiree on stage. In an interview with the weekly Veja GENTE column show on YouTube and the VEJA+ streaming service, the singer breaks down, one by one, his songs, inspired by his childhood in Jardim Nova Era, a neighborhood in Paracambi, Baixada Fluminense, where his parents took him to attend an evangelical church. On the 14th, he performs at Rock in Rio. Judging by his determination, the fight is only just beginning.
