Who even goes to the movies anymore? I do. Let’s talk about movie theater memberships—AMC A-List, Regal Unlimited, and Cinemark Movie Club—and whether they’re actually worth it in 2026. Movie theater attendance has been declining for years, and this is one of the ways theaters are trying to (as I so eloquently put it) get butts in seats.
I started my own movie membership right after the pandemic when theaters opened back up (Top Gun/Elvis era) and I went with AMC A-List mainly for the premium formats like Dolby Cinema and IMAX. That immersive experience (Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, etc.) made a big difference for me.
