http://cctvcamerapros.com/idvr-push - This video demonstrates how to setup push notification alerts to iOS from an iDVR CCTV DVR. Many other types of alarms are supported but in this video we demonstrate the push message being triggered from motion detection from one of the security cameras connected to the DVR.

The free MobileCMS Lite app for iPhone is used in this video. The mobile app is also available for iPad and Android devices. This is a free DVR viewer app that works with iDVR-E4, iDVR-E8, iDVR-E16, and iDVR-RT16 model surveillance DVRs from CCTV Camera Pros.

In the video, Mike configures an iDVR-E8 to trigger recording on channel four based on motion detected by the CCTV camera connected to channel 4.

The MobileCMS app is configured to receive a push notification also triggered by motion being detected in a region of camera four. When a user receives a push message, they can launch the app and view their security cameras live. Users can also search by time or event to see what exactly happened to trigger the event.

In addition to motion detection triggering push alerts, the following alarm types can also be configured to trigger a push message.

motion detection from CCTV camera
external alarm inputs such as door and motion sensors
camera video loss detected
hard drive failure
recording disabled
temperature warning
fan failure
voltage drop
network loss (reports after network resumes)
hard drive full
admin password change
