How I quit alcohol and remain sober in Alcoholics Anonymous
I tried to get sober many times. It is very hard to get sober when all you know is drink
I thought I could get sober by doing it my way. I thought I was an expert at sobriety... however, I was only an expert at not being sober.
I had to change my mindset. I had to treat my addiction the same way a sick person would treat their disease...through treatment.
My treatment consisted of medical detox, rehab, and continued counselling and membership into the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.
