Blade is a 1998 American superhero movie that was written and directed by David S. Goyer and Stephen Norrington. It is the first entry in the Blade franchise and is based on the character Blade from Marvel Comics. Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, and N'Bushe Wright play supporting parts in the movie, which stars Wesley Snipes as the title character. Blade battles against vampires as a Dhampir, a human who possesses vampire strengths but not their weaknesses.
